At heart, I am a reader and a writer. I am a happy employee of the public library, which gives me unrivaled access to other lived experiences, not just on the page, but also in my relationships with customers. I earned a Liberal Arts degree at the University of Cincinnati, with minors in Sociology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, as well as a certificate in Creative Writing. My goals are social justice-oriented: I wish to promote self-awareness, honest communication, clarity of worldview, and unity, in my life and in my writing.
I dabble in poetry, essays, and short fiction. Outside of writing, I am learning to cook (vegetarian), I am always reading something, sometimes I build things, and I love photography. For the past few years I have been focusing on examining my privilege as a white woman in America, and seeking to push back against it and become a better ally. All of these things are reflected in my writing.
